Employees deserve the microphone.
Paid-for "best workplace" lists reward marketing budgets. Anonymous review sites moderate honesty into oblivion. WorstWorkplace is the reverse: if a workplace or product is failing the people it depends on, we say so — publicly, permanently, and provably.
Give every employee and customer a verified, anonymous voice that meaningfully influences employer and product reputation.
A world where workplace and product quality is measured by the people inside and around them, not the marketing outside.
Never editorialized. Never paid-for. Every certificate — good or worst — is derived from a public, versioned formula.
The story behind the badge.
WorstWorkplace started with a simple observation: the loudest employer awards were the least trustworthy, and the most honest employee reviews were the hardest to verify. Somewhere in between was the truth — and nobody was publishing it.
We assembled 15 categories with former HR leaders and worker-advocacy researchers, wrote a deterministic scoring formula, and published it before the first review ever landed. The math has never changed silently since.
Today, every certificate — Good or Worst — carries the same QR code, the same verification page, and the same underlying formula. If a badge doesn't meet the bar, we say so. If it does, employees earned it, not marketing.
What we stand for
Six non-negotiables that shape every product decision and every dispute we resolve.
No accounts. No tracking beyond fraud prevention. Every reviewer stays unidentifiable — always.
Every scoring dimension was chosen by workers and validated by former HR leaders — never by consultants or PR teams.
Every badge carries a certificate number, QR code, and public formula. Verify anything, from any device, at any time.
We publish the worst, not just the best. Truth beats marketing every time, and every certificate proves it.
Employers can never pay for placement, removals, or a better score. Zero exceptions since day one.
Our methodology is public, versioned, and copy-able. If someone builds a better formula, we adopt it.
The workplaces employees whisper about deserve a public record.
Re-surveys let organizations earn their way from Worst to Good.
Every Good certificate is derived from the same threshold every Worst one is.
Voices from the system
"Finally a badge that isn't for sale. Our employees pushed us to earn it — and we did."
"The transparency around scoring is the reason I trust the verdict. I can literally recompute it."
"It took three minutes and I finally felt heard about a job I left two years ago."
Our journey
Frustration with pay-to-play 'best workplace' lists sparks a reverse-certification model where employees hold the microphone.
Launched with 15 rigorous categories, QR-verified certificates, and public rankings across industries.
Employers can now claim Good badges; Worst-rated employers can request re-surveys after documented change.
Extended the model to consumer and B2B products across 10 categories, using the same anonymous, threshold-based math.
Rate the workplaces that shape lives.
Under 3 minutes. 100% anonymous. Fully verifiable.
